Duluth Reads is an initiative of the Duluth Fine Arts League and encourages Duluth citizens to join others in the shared experience of simultaneously reading the same book and participating in related events during March 2012.
The selected book, When the Finch Rises by Jack Riggs, is a compelling novel set against the sometimes turbulent times in the late 1960’s in the South. The reader will become immediately involved in the life of the main character, and his poignant story will stay with the reader for a long time.
A book talk with the author present will be held March 13th at the Strickland House in Duluth. A reception honoring Mr. Riggs will be held March 16th at the Festival Center in Duluth’s Town Green. Times will be announced later.
